It was the first time I engage vendor to install blinds for my home, and I did not have knowledge about blinds except the various kinds in the market. In fact, I was looking for some 2-in-1 blind (both perforated and blackout), and chanced upon Softhome. It took a while for Softhome to touch base with me initially; however, the correspondences were prompt after Yong Sheng had established contact with me. Indeed, through the conversation, Yong Sheng helped me to streamline my requirements, and made good recommendations of the materials to be used. Indeed, I think I gain quite a bit of new knowledge :) In addition, based on the layout of the doors and windows, he further suggested how to 'break' the tracks in a practical way - which now, when I look back, I'm glad about the advice. These were things that never crossed my mind. Not only very knowledgeable, Yong Sheng was very patient throughout the entire engagement. Though I did not really find quotes for the blind installation, I think, what matters more to me is the service and sincerity from the vendor. We engaged SOFTHOME to install curtains and blinds for our whole house. Yong Sheng was very patient and provided great advice on which type curtains and blinds to choose. His advice comes after understanding our requirements (We had some feng shui requirements), house design and choice of paint colours and furnishing. We also had a packed schedule because we wanted our house to be "ready to move in" right after our marriage. Yong Sheng and his team did not disappoint meeting our timeline. Nothing was delayed unlike most renovation works. He was very prompt when we contacted him with regards to any queries. Installation was swift and fast; their installer Alan and JH are very experienced and knew exactly what to do. There was no need to contact them to rectify any installation defect. It has been 1 year since we installed our curtains and blinds. Everything functions perfectly like when it was newly installed. I highly recommend softhome curtains. Why? During my search for curtain vendors, using google search, I shortlisted Meridxxn as well as Mixg’s curtains. Subsequently, I chanced upon Softhome’s post in Facebook. And I requested for quotations from these 3 curtain vendors. What impressed me was Yong Sheng’s reply with an excel file with detailed quotations for the respective rooms with an estimated quote while other vendors’ replies were brief and did not provide me with sufficient information on whether to consider them further. My decision to go with softhome was also because the price range was quite reasonable based on preliminary understanding. I met up with Yong Sheng and was surprise to see a young man around my age. I had the impression that curtain vendors are much older though. Communication was easy as Yong Sheng is an easy-going and cheerful guy. Throughout the fabric selection, Yong sheng was very helpful and offered suggestions (such as choice of blackout vs dimout, roller blinds vs Venetian blinds, position of blind strings) and gave his opinion on the choice of fabric. Throughout, he came to the unit twice, we also visited his showroom a few times (even on sundays and Yong sheng accomodated our timings). You will not feel pressured to choose a fabric even if you might not find one among the vast fabric selection. Yong sheng also provided a realistic timeframe that he needed to order the fabric, sew the curtains/blinds and arrange for installation. The installers were also very professional and patient as it took a while to install the S-fold curtains. We like how the curtains look. Again, we highly recommend softhome curtain if you are looking for a curtain vendor who puts in effort in quotations to help you make a decision, is friendly, easy-going, ease of communication, good quality fabric, and has good installation service.read more

Wei Jun provided superb customer services!!! Wei Jun deserves more than 5 stars. Wei Jun was willing to work over weekend to accommodate our showroom visit on Saturday. He always patiently explains to us the pros and cons of each choice. He also gave candid feedbacks when we were indecisive. One thing that impressed me the most is that one night I had so many questions about how to measure the day curtains and why it needs to be shorter than night curtains and what is the difference between hook and ring. I texted him to ask late at night. He replied instantly and drew me graphs in SMS to patiently explain to me the mechanisms behind. That night was almost 11 pm. Even he was out of the country that night, he still offered to call me and explain to me over the phone. He really goes above and beyond to answer customer enquiries. Aside from windows, we wanted to do something for the kitchen that he violently advised against, suggesting instead alternative from other sources, even offering out of goodwill to help us out. Engaged Softhome to either get blinds or curtains. They were very accommodating and responsive to our queries and schedules. The person handling us was Wei Jun. He was very upfront and honest to my wife and I which made engaging them even easier for us. He made recommendations depending on our needs and preferences and always steering us back to it whenever we get distracted by other samples found in his showroom / office. During Wei Jun's on-site recce, again he accommodated to our schedule and came at night. Even though it was late he took the time to properly explain to us on the fixtures and installations that will be involved which assured us that we were in the right hands. Come installation day, Howard and Hao (hope got their names right) arrived and sorted things out. They installed blinds to the living room and three other rooms in less than two hours! My wife and I have been deliberating on whether to get wallpaper to create a different ambience for our room but have been disappointed with the selections out in the retailers. When we saw the Japanese series on SOFTHOME's fb page, we knew immediately that we wanted it because the design was exactly what we were looking for. When Yong Sheng came down for the measurements, we were amazed by the extensive collections of wallpaper that he had. To top it off, he was generous in providing advice on our wallpaper choices so that it can help us make our room cozier. Installation was done both meticulously and efficiently. The installer even covered up the furnitures close to the wall to prevent any accident from happening. There was also no gaps at any point, even very narrow corners between the window grills and the walls (less than 5mm) was covered. All in all, I am very impressed with the wealth of design choices and installation done. Will certainly recommend SOFTHOME to any and everyone who is looking to move away from the conventional painted walls to create a different ambience in your house.read more
